In this introductory class, students will explore the fundamentals of photography. They’ll focus particularly on the function of a camera, lighting, composition, focus and depth of field. By learning these fundamental skills, students will begin building their individual artistic style to ensure that their work is a unique representation of them, the goal of which is to produce photoshoots from inspirations such as personal narratives and moodboards. This introductory class is aimed at teaching students how to be a successful artist. Students will get to work under the guidance of a professional artist, in the gallery space where Awa Mally’s work will be exhibited. Most importantly, it’s going to be fun!
