Exhibition by Kraig Thayer Rasmussen. Kraig is an artist who creates atmospheric large-scale landscapes in both intense detail and abstraction. This show includes old and new work, and marks the end of a 10-year hiatus from exhibiting. “The paintings that I selected include work painted over the last three decades, a retrospective show,” said Kraig. “My paintings are meant to be reminders, cautionary images of places that are disappearing. Living with the constant battery of construction sprawl it is easy to forget what wilderness feels like. I hope my reverence for the natural world is conveyed to you through my work. Maybe they will influence you to pause, listen and take a closer look at everything around us.”
