Cutting Board Class with Justin Hossle (Hossle Wood Works), Studio 123 — September 27, 7:30–9pm — $35
Join Justin for a cutting board class and learn the process of creating a cutting board, from initial milling to the final finishing. You’ll get to design and make your own 12” x 8” board (pickup appx. 1 week after the class)!
Ceramic Tower Workshop with Lisa Roy, Studio 113 — September 27 5–9pm OR September 28 12–4pm — $75
Learn how to build your own ceramic tower in the style of Aldo Moroni. Fired towers are available for pickup approximately three weeks after your class date. $75 class fee includes instruction, all materials and the finished tower. To reserve your spot please email lisaroyphotography@gmail.com

Altering materials is the 1st step I use in my fiber mixed media art work … stones, threads, paint, water, papers, metal that rusts, all stand-ins for nature’s processes … I will walk you through several processes with paint, stones and rust to turn fabric and paper into mixed media surfaces that can be layered into art expressing the natural world.

Meet artist Bradley Scott Davis and paint your very own Daily Frog with him. Get a window into the creative process of The Daily Frog Project, and learn some tips and tricks Bradley has employed painting a frog a day for over 1,000 consecutive days, representing nearly 500 species.
CNC Machine Demo with Justin Hossle, Studio 123 — September 28, 12:30–12:45pm — free, no registration required
Learn the basics of how Justin uses a CNC machine (Computerized Numeric Control Machine) to cut out furniture legs and decor pieces, from the initial design process to the final automated cuts. Watch his robotic employee cut out a sculptural piece!
Kerf Cutting Demo with Justin Hossle, Studio 123 — September 28, 1–1:15pm — free, no registration required
Ever wonder how we get the curved shape on our end table and entry table? Join Justin to see the process in action. Through a technique known as kerf cutting, we’ll show you step by step how we precisely cut slits into the wood, allowing it to bend to shape.
Abstract Sumi-e Brush Painting with Jim Gregory, Studio 118 — September 28, 1–2:30pm — free, no registration required
Learn how to do a rice paper ink painting with a handmade brush, which facilitates fluid organic brush strokes. Create a painting or two and blow dry them to take home. Beverages available.
