NEMAA member, Kristine Fretheim, is a watercolor artist in Minneapolis. Her piece, “Circle Game” has been selected for the Watercolor USA 2018 Exhibition.
Organized in 1962, this year marks the 57th year of Watercolor USA. This nationally known exhibition is open to artists from all 50 states and U.S. territories, and seeks to discover what is new and what is next in the world of contemporary American watermedia. This year’s exhibit was judged by Kelly Kane, a 20-year veteran in the art publishing world, and current Editor-In-Chief of PleinAir Magazine. Of the 464 entries by 264 artists from 45 states, Kane selected 82 works by 80 artists representing 31 states for inclusion in the exhibition.
The show will be held at the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO from June 2 to August 26.
