Kiln Casting 2: 3D Sculpture

This 6-week course explores the sculptural potentials of cast glass. Students will learn the methods of the art of kiln casting (aka mold melting). The course includes sculpting methods with clay, mold-making, the lost-wax method and the refining of surfaces with the cold working process.

Students will be ready to use our studio to make your own work after the class. No experience required, however former experience with kiln glass or Kiln 1 – Casting – Open Faced/Relief is suggested.

Classes are Saturdays, 1pm-4pm.
