Kiln 3: Imagery – Screen Printing, Stencils, Enamels

This course will delve into the potentials of kiln formed glass to create imagery using screen printing methods, stencils and/or enamels. Students will learn about the purpose of each process and how each method may be adapted to their current body of work or process. These methods also lend themselves to painterly aspects that students may find as a compliment to painting practices. Additional benefits of the material include the potential to work with light, color and transparency – a quality that is unique to the medium.

No experience required, however former experience with kiln glass, Kiln 1 & 2 are suggested.

Classes are held Sundays, 1pm-4pm.
