Are you a Twin Cities-based artist? New to freelance? Don’t know who to call when you’re ready to file taxes for your growing small business? Come to FAQs: Taxes 101, an interactive workshop for young and emerging freelancers and artists to learn the basics about tax preparation for creative work.

Lead by Minneapolis-based visual artist, curator and consultant, Jovan C. Speller, the session will be hands on and will offer participants:
• Tools to help identify and organize annual expenses, deductions, and records for tax prep;
• Tips for collaborating with subcontractors; and
• Resources about local and online tax preparation services that are accessible and affordable.

This session is limited to 20 spots and exclusively designed for working artists between the ages of 18-30 who currently provide creative services to clients in the Greater Twin Cities area.
