I’ve been a professional chef for over 20yrs and love what I do. In 2021 I began collecting different types of wood and at my country club chef position, my boss wanted me to create a few charcuterie boards for our catering displays. After I made them and they were a success at my work I decided to start making them for others to enjoy.
Process
Each board is hand picked by me from several suppliers on the west coast. All wood is sustainable harvested from fallen trees and or stumps in northern California. I choose the boards by species, figuring and natural shapes that typically aren’t just straight. The boards I choose are unique one of a kind pieces. After alot of sanding and shaping I will either use a oil wax mixture for the top and bottom or epoxy the top and oil-wax the bottom. Each board is burn branded with my logo and non-skid rubber feet are placed on the bottom 1/2″ in height.
