Van Knight Ceramics

Since 2020, making ceramics is the only time I feel completely calm. My work tends to vacillate between sturdy functional pieces and chaotic sculptures that hint at nature. Most recently, I strive to combine those two styles. The goal is for a piece to still be worthy of display when it is not in use. I feel strongly that every person has their own style of mug that is perfect for their hands and how they drink. Because of this, I make many different styles of mugs. It’s fun for me and I hope joyful for the person that finds their mug.
