Richard Fleischman Photography

Rich Fleischman is a Minneapolis, MN based commercial photographer specializing in corporate, industrial, institutional and portraiture photography.

I moved to Minneapolis from Louisville, Kentucky in 1994 to pursue acting, but a couple years after that, my brother gave me an old manual 35-mm camera and I realized photography was the career path I’d been searching for. I started with my actor friends as my first subjects, and then I quickly became obsessed with capturing everything around me, specifically people, onto film.

While I love location, on-site photography, I also love shooting in my comfortable, minimalist 1,200 square foot studio. Located in the heart of the NE Minneapolis Arts District, my studio is in the venerable California Building. It’s a clean, restored warehouse space with north-facing windows and plenty of room for socially-distanced photography. Surfaces are wiped down before and after each shoot, hand-sanitizer and wipes are plentiful, and the air-purifier is always on!
