Welcome to my Art-A-Whirl online site! I share a studio with my sister, Beth Wicklund, who is a letterpress artist; we are tucked in an annex on the far NW corner of the California Building. Check out the images below to see a glimpse of our space. To have a look at my sister’s letterpress cards you can look here.
I started making jewelry just over a decade ago as a creative outlet from my job in healthcare. I was so inspired by the many artists I’d visit each year during Art-A-Whirl and remember thinking how amazing it must be to have a studio in one of the many buildings throughout NE Mpls. Fast forward to my sister purchasing a 1-ton letterpress and needing a place to put it; this lit the fire for us both to take the leap and get a studio of our own.
My jewelry is contemporary and expresses easy wearability. Color, clean lines and simplicity drive my creative process. I use sterling silver, brass, pearls and natural stones. Check out the gallery below for some samples of my work and also my etsy shop for a more extensive collection (link below).
Thanks for visiting!
Rebecca Wicklund is open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday of Art-A-Whirl weekend.
We will be open all three days of Art-A-Whirl. The easiest way to find us is to enter from our private studio entrance (small loading dock) at the NW corner of the building at the intersection of California St and 23rd Ave NE. Otherwise, from inside the building, you can only access our studio by coming down from second floor via the NW stairwell (off the on2gallery).
Rebecca Wicklund has an external system for taking orders, separate from this website.
If you have a question about an order or a pickup, or about fulfillment options for an item, please contact the artist or gallery.
If you need help with this website or your customer account, or if you are an artist or gallery in need of support, please contact us.
