Rajine Williams is a visual multimedia artist, teaching artist, and educator based in the Twin Cities. Her work explores themes of Black women’s femininity, body, and identity, weaving together personal narratives and broader cultural histories. She coined the term “Afrocentric Eclectic” to describe her aesthetic—a synthesis of pride in Black womanhood, vibrant storytelling, and experimental artistry.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.A. in Art, Rajine is currently pursuing her Master’s in Visual Arts/K-12 licensure at Augsburg University. Her diverse artistic portfolio spans drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, often incorporating 3D elements, found objects, and recycled materials. Through her work, she aims to challenge societal perceptions, celebrate Black womanhood, and create immersive, thought-provoking experiences.

Beyond her personal practice, Rajine is dedicated to arts education, working with students across various ages, backgrounds, and communities. As a teaching artist, she cultivates a learning environment rooted in creative exploration and self-expression. She encourages her students to embrace subjectivity, interpret themes through their own lens, and develop technical skills while fostering personal artistic voices. By centering inclusivity and empowerment, Rajine creates spaces where BIPOC youth can discover, create, and explore their identities freely—bridging art, education, and cultural affirmation.
