Hello!

I’m an Italian artist, born and raised in Sardinia, a beautiful island in the center of the Mediterranean Sea.
Since I was a kid, inspired by the mysterious Sardinian culture and her millenarian traditions, I’ve had a strong passion for colors and drawing.
It was inevitable that one day I was going to become an artist.
I graduated in Fine Arts from Brera Academy of Milan, where I consolidated my passion for oil and acrylic painting and developed another one for photography.
My graphic skills and my interest in the design field pushed me to earn a Master’s in Visual Design from the New Academy of Design of Verona and work in the textile design industry as a surface pattern designer.

I work mostly in watercolors or pencils on paper and acrylic or oil on canvas when I don’t use my Wacom tablet.
Studying details of images and inspecting nature and human connections to bring my vision of everything surrounding me is the purpose of my work, by using saturated and bright colors.

The Masks series link to this group

In 2019 I visited the Mamumask, an international festival of Masks in Mamoiada, Sardinia, and took many pictures during the Parade of Mamuthones, Issohadores, Boes and Merdules, Sos Thurpos, and other mysterious Sardinian masks.

I knew already these masks, but on that occasion, I was completely fascinated and I decided to start studying their characteristics and their meanings.

My interest in the masks is an opportunity to study the origin of the ancestral need, for why men wear a mask to become another thing, something different, a magical and divine entity.

This is a working-in-progress project that will include other pieces that I’m realizing and additional images, videos, and materials.
