Patty Scott

I work on paper, primarily prints and drawings, with a background in lithography, etching, monoprints and linocuts.  My most recent abstract images convey the movement of waves over the surface of water.  Each individual print forms a discrete pattern.  Combining them produces a syncopated rhythm.

Time outside of the studio, what I call my fieldwork, is spent drawing and sketching the landscape or the urban scene.  My sketchbook accompanies me, whether in the city I call home or traveling abroad. I consider myself part of the international community of Urban-Sketchers wherever I am.
