Neysa Winterer

Neysa lives in a cute little cottage in Excelsior, Minnesota with her husband. She has four children and five grandchildren. You can find her most evenings working away in her home studio. She has been making art most of her life and is mostly self taught.

Neysa loves collecting bits and scraps of paper that she can use in her torn paper collages, including old mail, advertisements, newspapers, vintage sheet music, used street maps, discarded books and almost any kind of paper she can find. Her subjects range from woodland animals, landscapes, pet portraits, to birds and floral’s. Neysa thinks the most exciting thing about making her artwork is seeing all the tiny fragments come to life and become a completed painting, without the paint!

She has just begun the trip into digital drawing and loves that medium also.
