Hello there!
My name is Jackie, owner and creator at Lavendart Design in studio #371 of the Northrup King Building.
I create mini watercolor paintings of critters and small, happy moments. I want my art to be accessible and bring joy to others, because it’s important to surround ourselves with happiness where we can. I love hiding small visual jokes and references to certain fandoms where I can sneak them in. I strive to make appealing artwork for fellow lighthearted people.
I look for subjects that can be silly, memory provoking, and mix in a touch of realism. Lately I’ve been exploring scenes that remind me of vague memories and situations, like looking through an old children’s book or experiencing a warm old memory.

The Northrup King Building has been a special place for me since I was a kid exploring there any chance I got.
I’m so grateful to be in the Northrup King community, and for all the artists who show that being an artist isn’t as crazy of a goal as I thought.
