JoDee Schumer – Art for Survivors

JoDee Schumer is a Minnesota artist who specializes in unique mixed media works combining masks, fabric, driftwood and nature. As a trauma survivor, her work’s essence is to show the process of healing using creativity, storytelling and art. Her artist’s mission is to bring healing to other survivors so they also feel seen and validated.

Not only is JoDee Schumer an artist, but she’s also a Spiritual Guide.

What is Spiritual Guidance?

“Spiritual Guidance can mean different things to different people, but I experience it as the art of deep listening, honoring the sacred, as carried out in the framework of a companion. I think the gifts of this can take many surprising forms in your life. Often it feels like a journey without a fixed ending that, nonetheless, is driven by a desire to be more real and more aligned with your heart and soul of the Divine as you see it. That said this is your opportunity to speak from the heart and truly be heard.

As your spiritual guide, I offer the opportunity to explore the experiences and store of your sacred path in these times, and in life, through deep listening and contemplative receiving. 

I am passionate about supporting individuals on their paths. We honor ourselves and our experiences by “holding space” to listen, discern, and discover meaning in our sacred stories.

The 55 minute sessions are often scheduled three or four weeks apart, depending on your request.

As you are discerning spiritual direction for yourself, please get in touch with me to set up an introductory meeting so I can answer any questions you have and we can set up your first session. I will send you a Companioning Intake Form tof ill out, and a brief overview of how we proceed.”
