jessica stoodley (b. 1993) is an american painter based in minnesota, united states. self-taught, she draws her inspiration from the world around her through a dark, abstract lens. acting by her distinct strokes and layered methodology, jessica enjoys challenging differing textures and pigments in her technique. jessica’s practice consists of unpredictable gestures and emotional hues. each collection is an intuitive, representational period from her life of special significance; which is frozen in time for those around her to reflect upon, including herself.
