Jessalyn Finch creates work that explores perception, relationships, and voyeurism through various aspects of our lives. She is best known for her life-size figure drawing collection, Shadowform, exhibited at the Historic Chateau Theatre and Rochester Art Center, which highlights our complex relationship with the human body.
Since the pandemic, Finch has crossed over into other mediums including wearable sculptures used in living sculpture performance art that explore the concepts of voyeurism, engagement and interplay with the audience and our environment. Equipped with an educational background in printmaking, drawing, and eastern philosophy, her work is designed as a catalyst for discussion. She continues to experiment with immersive multimedia experiences at her home studio in Rochester, MN.
