“Discovering an expression through painting came later in life for me…it has been a part of my becoming. I made a massive shift in my life that was very painful – it was like jumping off a cliff into the unknown. I initially lost almost everyone in my life, but I had this deep feeling there was something more. There was a short time of darkness until my life grew beyond what I could have imagined.  Finally being my true self opened my eyes to color, detail, love, and the fullness of life like I never experienced before. It was what inspired my desire to learn how to paint. I’m continually growing and learning what it is to be me and what my paintings reflect. My hope is that my art inspires others to let go of old thinking and fear, live in truth – and feel wrapped up with peace and acceptance. I want to capture the world in all of its mystery and beauty – how the light illuminates the landscape around us, the shifting clouds, shadows, darkness and light.”
