The heart of my work is mostly functional – tableware, planters, vases, luminaries, etc. Most of my work starts as stoneware or porcelain clay on the pottery wheel and then gets altered by sculpting, carving, and glazing techniques. Through my pieces, I aim to elevate daily rituals with artistry and fun, creating work that not only serves its intended function but also enriches the everyday experience with beauty and joy.
Come on down for some clay fun. Learn hand-building techniques for making bowls, cups, trays, sculpture, or whatever else you can think up. You’ll spend two hours building something, choose what color you want it glazed, and in about two weeks your work will be fired and ready to pick back up at Sociable Cider Werks.
