Liz Elfstrand, painter from Minneapolis/St.Paul with a Scandinavian aesthetic. Expressive, simple images with lots of vibrant color, shape, pattern and bold line.
Taking daily inspirations and turning them into energetic line drawings which then become paintings. Paintings whose only purpose is to evoke a feeling of happiness, joy and a smile.
In this particular series words have been my inspiration, poetry, lyrics and literature. The paintings become a secret message of sorts, the words are disguised and what’s left is a conversation in color, a jolt of joy!
Commissions are welcome should you desire such a feeling, beginning with words that have great significance to you!
