Donna Ray is an emerging ceramic artist. She received her community education in clay at Artistry located in west Bloomington, Minnesota. Ray enjoys hand building and occasionally wheel throwing to create useful sculptural art. She works with every type of clay body to produce one of a kind art. Her goals are simple: create what you love and strive to get into the show. Emerging artist for Northern Clay Center BISQUE Resident 2019. Now OGBISQUE studio artist at NCC. She is part of Fearless Artist Cohort 4, and also Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery Artist-In-Residence for 2023. She is currently working on the Messages In A Bottle public art project as part of Project Hope from Forecast Public Art. Writer for Donna’s Corner, Minnesota Women and Ceramics. One of 16 artists to work on the Black Lives Matter mural for Minnesota, painting the letter “I.” This social justice activist/writer ENJOYS creating many zip-code community projects/items around the Twin Cities, such as ring bowls, trivits, yarn bowls, incense burners, etc…
