Cyndi Kaye Meier is an artist based in St. Paul, Minnesota. For the past two decades Cyndi Kaye has been immersed in the quilting tradition. She pushes the boundaries of contemporary quilting by screen printing, painting and dyeing her own fabrics. In 2022, Meier took up abstract painting in acrylics. She is an alumni of Art2Life Creative Visionary Program (CVP). In the past year and half, Meier has been writing her autobiography under the mentorship of Mimi Holmes.
Meier has exhibited regionally and internationally. One of her most recent juried exhibits includes the Seeing God exhibition at the St. Paul Monastery where her textile quilt received an honorable mention. In Spring of 2024, she was accepted into the juried exhibit This Is What Fierce Looks Like at Form + Content in Minneapolis, MN. Meier is a 2018 graduate of the Women’s Art Institute. Meier holds a BA in Speech Communications and MPS in Arts and Cultural Leadership (University of Minnesota). In addition to making and teaching art, Meier serves on several nonprofit boards. She is the treasurer for the Textile Center Board, is the past president of Minnesota Contemporary Quilters (MCQ), and serves on the board of Arts Roseville. Her work can be seen at her website and at her studio (#324) at the Everest LLC (former Hamm’s Brewery) in St Paul.
