Botanical Art Prints
Botanical art has a long tradition of depicting plants in a scientifically accurate and aesthetically pleasing manner. It is a marriage of science and art. Each painting requires hours of research, sketches, color and value studies all before the painting process begins. After preparation, the final painting itself can take between 30-60 hours and, like a beloved book, is difficult to finish. I do hope you enjoy these pieces.
Many of my originals are for sale. Please contact me for more information.
I also accept commissions.

Scientific Botanical Illustration Prints
Scientific botanical illustrations are depictions of plants and plant parts that emphasize the scientific record and botanical accuracy of a plant species. While closely related to botanical art, botanical illustration is art in the service of science. Scientific illustrations are traditionally monochromatic.
Ink Line Drawings
These line drawings seek to capture the essence of the plant in its most simplified being. While en route to a fuller understanding of a species, the simple lines contain a world of beauty in themselves. Please inquire about plant species not shown here.

Topographical Lake Paintings
See your favorite Minnesota lake from a different vantage point. Each painting shows the varying depth throughout the lake, symbolized by the varying color saturation. This provides viewers with a fresh experience and new understanding of the water and land beneath the surface. When possible, paintings are completed using water from that lake, providing a physical connection between the lake and your piece of art.
If you don’t see your desired lake from the below completed list, please contact me and I will do my best to create an accurate custom painting for you.
