Archipelago Metalworks is the Studio of Peter Vanni, Sculptor
“As a sculptor I use a wide variety of materials; the one always present being metal. I make objects that are non-representational and objects that are representational. Some objects that employ abstraction and other objects that use realism. Some are organic. Some are architectural. Some are functional; some are not.
“I also make furniture. And Bells. Gongs. Railings. Light fixtures. Figures. Thingies. I cast and patina bronze pieces. I fabricate wall sculptures from six kinds of metal with different finishes and patinas with a little glass thrown in.
“In short I make a living and have fun (on the good days) making lots of stuff out of metal.”
Peter is known for being an adept collaborator with homeowners, architects, designers and builders. Recent projects have included public art and memorials, home design details (such as fireplace surrounds, range hoods, and railings), and liturgical art for area churches.
