In order to participate in Art-A-Whirl, you must be a member of NEMAA. Membership is open to all. View membership benefits.
Please note: NEMAA is not printing a Directory & Guide this year. All member info will be online at nemaa.org.
Artists & Galleries
Artist (including Student & Emerging artists) and Professional Gallery members have the option to use NEMAA’s platform to build an online shop in addition to their member profile. Once you join NEMAA, nemaa.org and shop.nemaa.org will sync overnight and you will receive an invitation via email to create your shop. The “Help” section on shop.nemaa.org has helpful videos and written directions for shop set up, as well as a support email. Our two sites will be combined into one by April 13, 2021.
Members hosting open hours during Art-A-Whirl Weekend must opt-in to indicate which days they are open in order to be included in the “Who’s Open” section of the online Art-A-Whirl Map. NEMAA has also provided Guidelines for members hosting in-person open studios, available in the “Art-A-Whirl Resources” section of their member account.
Looking for space?
NEMAA provides a list of sites who have signed up as willing to host guest artists. Members may log in to their accounts and access the list through the “Art-A-Whirl Resources” tab on the left. Artists must contact the sites and make arrangements themselves. Otherwise, we recommend identifying where you want to be and asking directly. Remember that all in-person sites need to require mask wearing and social distancing.
For Businesses & Nonprofits (NPOs)
Business and nonprofit members will be included in NEMAA’s online directory as well as map for Art-A-Whirl. If a business or NPO wishes to host guest artists, they can access the list of sites hosting guest artists (log in to your NEMAA account, go to the “Art-A-Whirl Resources” tab on the left) and access the form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the list spreadsheet.
